The Indigenous Leadership Academy (ILA) is a unique program housed within the American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI). It helps grow leaders in Indigenous communities through a curriculum grounded in traditional values and community-based approaches.
This year, ILA launched two new cohorts—one focused on Indigenous health and the other on education. To reach the right audience, we created a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy across the website, blog, and social media to help professionals looking for leadership opportunities find the program online.
The campaign led to ILA’s top-performing content for three months in a row. Without spending anything on ads, over 29,000 people saw information about the program on social media and 51% clicked through to visit the website. ILA also saw a 4% increase in social media followers.
Search-optimized blog posts performed 10 times better than previous ones, bringing in hundreds more views. In the end, the number of program applicants doubled compared to earlier cohorts.
